From late October 2018, the SA Gov will provide 40,000 South Australian homes with subsidies up to $6,000 each for installing battery storage on their homes.
In order for customers to be eligible for the rebate, their installation company must be registered with the SA Gov as an official System Provider, and must be a Clean Energy Council Approved Solar Retailer. This certification ensures that the company adheres to a strict level of industry-leading quality, workmanship, warranties, and transparency – and has signed on to the Solar Retailer Code of Conduct.
Off-Grid Energy Australia is one of only four SA-based companies who are currently certified as CEC Approved Solar Retailers, and application submissions to become an official System Provider with the SA Gov will open this week (2nd – 5th Oct).
The Home Battery Scheme subsidy for Energy Concession Holders is $600 per kWh of battery storage installed (capped at $6,000).
The Home Battery Scheme subsidy for all other households is $500 per kWh of battery storage installed (capped at $6,000).
Low interest finance will be available from the Clean Energy Finance Corporation (CEFC) if customers would like to add solar to their battery installation.
The SA Gov Home Battery Scheme subsidies are expected to reduce over time.
Off-Grid Energy Australia will not provide quotes to customers until the government have approved their System Providers, we know which batteries are eligible for the rebate, and how to claim the rebate.
