PROJECT NAME:
Objectives & Site Considerations:
Hawkins Stock Transport (hawkinsstocktransport.com) are a family owned livestock transport business regularly moving cattle throughout New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland & South Australia. Their 3Ph workshop had been running on a 20kVA Kubota generator for 5 years and they were looking at around $100,000 to connect their property to the mains grid. So they looked into off-grid solar and battery options instead.
There was an existing shed on site which was suitable to install the solar on top, and the off-grid inverter and battery system within.
Load Analysis:
Average summer demand: 26.44kWh
Average winter demand: 27.82kWh
Demand surge: 12.6kVa

In 2022, Hawkins Stock Transport upgraded their storage capacity by 8kWh with another 2x Powerplus batteries.
