Objectives & Site Considerations:
The grid supply wasn’t sufficient for the new cellar door and accommodation at Inkwell Wines in South Australia’s McLaren Vale, so a solar and battery system was needed to provide additional capacity. Dr Irina Santiago-Brown is a leading expert in sustainable viticulture, so naturally, this is embedded into everything at Inkwell Wines.
Load Analysis:
Average summer demand: 26.97kWh
Average winter demand: 25.43kWh
Demand surge: 16kW

Project Outcome:
Inkwell Wines’ Sustainable Cellar Door, Luxury Accommodation, and Manager’s Homestead are all powered by a solar and battery system.
A huge effort by our team to salvage this system and provide a safe and working off-grid system for the Farrowing Property.
An off-grid system was required to replace the existing diesel generating plant, to offset diesel costs.
Wellness Retreat Centre looking for electricity security and power reliability.
